Manchester United set to complete £30 million deal for Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij

Manchester United are on the verge
of completing a £30 million deal for Lazio
defender Stefan de Vrij, according to
reports in Italy.
Il Messaggero claim that United are at the
front of the queue for the 24-year-old
central defender, and with Jose Mourinho
impressed with the Dutchman’s
performances, the club are ready to meet
Lazio’s asking price.
De Vrij, whose current deal expires in the
summer of 2018, has rejected three
contract offers from the Serie A club and
will now leave at the end of the season.
Chelsea, Manchester City and AC Milan
are in the race for the Netherlands
international but United is expected to be
the defender’s next destination.
