Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is weighing up
midfield recruits ahead of the January transfer
window, with Goal stating that Inter Milan’s
Geoffrey Kondogbia fits the bill for the Italian
trainer.
The Blues sit on top of the Premier League table
after moving to a 3-4-2-1 system, with N’Golo
Kante, Nemanja Matic and Cesc Fabregas battling
it out for starting berths in the centre of the park.

The report suggests that Conte wants to add an
extra option at the heart of his midfield, with
Kondogbia a player that is in his gaze.
The 23-year-old has toiled at Inter following a big-
money move from Monaco and has only started
seven Serie A games so far in 2016-17.
The report suggests that fellow Premier League
side Liverpool were also looking at the France
international but Jurgen Klopp’s men will not enter
the race to sign Kondogbia in January.
Should the former Sevilla man end up at Stamford
Bridge, he would add energy and a physical
presence to Conte’s midfield options.
The report suggests that Fiorentina’s Milan Badelj
is also under consideration, with the Croatia
international potentially available for transfer come
January.
