Chelsea stars Diego Costa and N’Golo Kante deliberately got themselves suspended, suggests Jamie Carragher

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher
believes Chelsea‘s Diego Costa and
N’Golo Kante may have deliberately got
themselves booked against Crystal
Palace.
Costa and Kante were the only Chelsea
starters who were shown yellow cards by
referee Jonathan Moss in the side’s 1-0
victory away at Selhurst Park.
It means the duo cannot face
Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on
Boxing Day after picking up their fifth
bookings of the campaign.
And Carragher has claimed he would not
be surprised if Costa and Kante got
themselves suspended on purpose ahead
of their clash with Tottenham at White
Hart Lane.
‘I think Chelsea will be fine without Costa
and Kante and I wouldn’t be surprised if
the deliberately got booked to miss that
game,’ Carragher told Sky Sports’ Soccer
AM.
‘I know it’s controversial but it’s been
done before.’
